Batsheva Oberstein

Mrs. Batsheva Oberstein serves as Dean of Students at NEJA. A proud NEJA parent and long-time member of the school community, she has held various roles over the years, consistently demonstrating her deep dedication to the well-being of our students.
Mrs. Oberstein holds a degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and brings extensive experience from her work with organizations such as Chai Lifeline. Her background equips her with the tools to support students' social and emotional growth with compassion, insight, and professionalism.
As Dean of Students, Mrs. Oberstein plays a central role in fostering a nurturing and supportive school environment. She oversees social-emotional programming across all grade levels, collaborates with faculty and leadership to cultivate positive classroom culture, and serves as a vital liaison between families and the school. She also provides direct support to students both in and out of the classroom and manages a wide range of school programming and social work services. Her unwavering commitment to helping each student succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally—is at the heart of everything she does.
