At NEJA, clubs play a vital role in enriching student life and supporting personal growth beyond the classroom. They offer meaningful opportunities for students to explore their interests, build new skills, and form connections with peers who share their passions. Through participation in clubs, students grow as individuals, collaborators, and leaders.
Students can lead or found clubs, join the National Honor Society, become Team Captains or be elected to our school government.

High School Special Programs
Life at NEJA extends far beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, students participate in a wide range of experiences that build friendships, inspire leadership, and create lasting memories. These activities strengthen our community and reflect the values we hold dear.
High School Retreat:
We kick off the year with a retreat focused on team building, bonding, and welcoming new students. Through games, group challenges, and personal introductions, students develop strong connections that set a positive tone for the year ahead.

High School Lock-In:
A beloved NEJA tradition, the Lock-In is an overnight event at school packed with fun activities, a shared dinner, senior tributes, and time to relax with friends. Students enjoy the unique experience of spending the night in the school building—creating memories they’ll talk about all year.

Guest Speakers:
Throughout the year, NEJA hosts a variety of guest speakers—ranging from community leaders and scholars to Holocaust survivors and industry professionals—who inspire, educate, and spark meaningful conversations. It is built into the schedule that High Schoolers have an assembly period each week to make time for these amazing speakers.

Better Together Program:
NEJA is proud to participate in the Better Together program for High School, which fosters intergenerational connections through meaningful relationships between students and local seniors. Together, they learn, share stories, and build bonds across generations.

Israel Advocacy:
In recent years, NEJA high school students have had the unique opportunity to attend Israel rallies in Washington, D.C. and locally, standing proudly in solidarity with the Jewish people. These experiences help strengthen their connection to Am Yisrael, deepen their understanding of advocacy, and empower them to be proud, informed voices for the Jewish people worldwide.

Senior Trip:
Throughout the year, the senior class plans and hosts creative fundraising events to support and organize a memorable getaway. With the guidance of a dedicated Senior Advisor, students take the lead in budgeting, planning, and selecting the destination for their trip. The trip is supervised by trusted and dedicated chaperons, ensuring a safe and fun experience for all.
