The ECC’s Mother’s Day Tea 🫖 was a heartwarming celebration filled with love, smiles, and special memories. The children delighted their mothers with beautiful songs, handmade gifts, flowers, and a delicious brunch and tea. 💐A special thank you to our incredible teachers — Morah Shaindel, Morah Laura, Morah Bayla, and Dr. Sandra — for all their hard work and preparation in creating such a lovely event. We wish all our mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day and continued nachas from their children!

We had a blast yesterday at our Lag BaOmer Color War 🔥💚 From epic team spirit to nonstop energy, the day was filled with competition, fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Huge mazal tov to the Green Team – Be’er Sheva for taking the win 💚🏆 A very special shoutout to our incredible teachers and staff who worked behind the scenes (and in the sun!) to make the day so exciting and meaningful for our students. We are buzzing with gratitude after an incredible Building day! A massive THANK YOU to the hardworking staff and volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to build the beds for our brand-new garden. This project is made possible through the heartfelt generosity of the Kostin Family, in loving memory of Jessica Lynn Kostin (1984–2010), a beloved graduate of the Academy. We are honored to grow this garden in her name and keep her memory blooming in our community. 🌸 ✨ A Shout-Out to Our Build Team: We couldn’t have done it without the muscle and heart of: Shayne Green Kesler, Matthew Braunshweiger, Cathy Green, Evelyn Green, and Jennifer Lima (Our amazing Master Gardener) 📅 Save the Date: PLANTING DAY May 17th! Huge congratulations to our incredible students who competed at the CIJE Robotics Competition! 🤖🏆 We are bursting with pride for our Middle School and High School teams, who showed up with innovation, teamwork, and some serious engineering skills. A massive shout-out to our Middle School powerhouse team—Hannah Hersh, Gavin Moss, and Eshka Peck—who took home 2nd PLACE out of a massive field of 160 teams! 🥈✨ Their hard work and dedication truly paid off on the big stage.

The high school kicked off the year with an unforgettable retreat at Camp Laurelwood, and what a way to start! The purpose of the retreat was clear: to welcome our new students, strengthen connections among the entire student body, and build community with our teachers and administrators. By every measure, it was a smashing success.

From the moment we arrived, the energy was contagious. Students dove right into team-building activities like speed debating, speed friending, an epic football game, and a high-energy round of manhunt. These activities weren’t just fun—they gave everyone the chance to connect with classmates they may not have spoken to before.

Of course, no camp retreat would be complete without outdoor adventures. Archery, swimming, and especially fishing were highlights of the weekend. The fishing crew even gutted, cleaned, and cooked the fish right over the campfire!

It’s clear that this retreat set the tone for a year of growth, friendship, and community.
A huge thank you goes out to Batsheva Oberstein, Rabbi Schneeweiss, Lindy Hanenbaum, Jane Resnick and all the faculty and staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this retreat possible. Because of their efforts, our high school family is stronger than ever and ready to take on the year ahead.
